Scotland vs. Switzerland Preview
Scotland's quest for their first major tournament win since 1996 begins on Monday when they take on Switzerland in their opening match of UEFA EURO 2024.
The Swiss are the favorites and have the greater tournament pedigree among the two. They reached the quarterfinals of the 2020 tournament and have qualified for the past five World Cups. Scotland, on the other hand, has not qualified for a major tournament since the 1998 World Cup. However, they will be buoyed by the home crowd and the fact that they have a number of talented players in their squad.
